About Us

We are the Michigan American Legion Wilwin Lodge. We are a non-profit corporation that was formed to manage and enhance the land and buildings that were donated to the Michigan Legion by Bob Considine.

The corporation has 7 voting board members and 3 non-voting members. The board members are made up of Legion, Auxiliary and SAL members. It was created as a 501(c)3 organization to provide more flexibility in charitable giving. Not only individuals but also other companies are more willing to give to this classification of charity organization.

The board meets on a regular basis throughout the year to track progress on fundraising and promotion, construction and any other issues that might come up.
